TL;DR
Welcome back to Dev Opportunity Radar.
This is a weekly series where I share opportunities, resources, communities, and interesting finds ...

What opportunities, communities, grants, fellowships, hackathons, conferences, or resources have you come across recently that deserve more attention?
I am always looking for things to include in future editions, so feel free to share anything interesting you have found. If I feature one of your finds in a future edition, I will make sure to credit you.
Small request: If you're sharing a link, please avoid posting raw URLs directly. DEV sometimes filters them before I get a chance to see the comment.
Instead, use the opportunity name as the link text, for example:
[Flow Fellowship](https://example.com)and include a short description of what it is.It is good to mention that MLH is now starting Hacking for Good right now until the 18th! Good opportunity for people to build some good projects!
Thank you for sharing this, Francis!
Since it's time-sensitive and already underway, I went ahead and added it to the Community Finds section of Edition #3 so more people can see it while there's still time to participate.
I've also credited you for the find. Really appreciate you sharing it 😄
Yea that's fair! Thanks for adding!
This series is pure gold 💛 It brings real value to people wanting to learn, develop, and look for opportunities. Thank you from all my heart for this 💛
I'd myslef would be super interested to join 5-Day AI Agents Intensive Course, but I will be on vacation during this time. Hopefully, there will be more editions 🤞🏻
Thank you so much, Klaudia 💛
Comments like this make all the time spent researching and putting these editions together feel worth it.
And hopefully you'll get another chance! This is actually the second time Google and Kaggle have run this program, so there's a decent chance they'll do something similar again in the future.
If I come across another edition or something similar while putting together future radars, I'll make sure to share it 😄
Enjoy your vacation 🌴
Thank you! Will make sure to take part in the next edition 💛
the google ai agents course is the one i'd actually bookmark here - most ai fellowship content is still model-focused when the real gap is agent design and workflow orchestration.
That's actually one of the reasons I included it.
A lot of AI learning resources focus heavily on models themselves, while this course seemed much more focused on building systems around them, things like tools, memory, evaluation, security, and deployment.
I'm curious to see how the content turns out. If you end up going through it, I'd love to hear your thoughts 😀
the gap between model-focused courses and systems-focused ones is wider than people expect. evaluation and partial failure handling are almost never covered together. if this course does that, it's worth bookmarking for more than just the name.
Great edition! Very nice that you mention AI Tinkerers, I have really been enjoying their events in my city. Hopefully others can check out their events happening close to their own home.
Looking forward to next week's edition with more community finds!
Thank you, Julien 😄
And thank you again for sharing AI Tinkerers. It ended up being one of my favorite additions to this edition.
I honestly wasn't expecting the Community Finds section to start growing this quickly, but seeing people share opportunities, resources, and communities they enjoy has been really fun.
Hopefully more people discover AI Tinkerers through this and find a local meetup near them.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone shares next week too!
saw the follow-up section. didn't expect that.
what you said about adding context instead of just listing links . That's exactly what makes the difference between something people bookmark and something people actually act on. glad it came across.
on to radar #4.
Haha, I was hoping you'd see it!
And thank you for sharing that comment in the first place. It ended up capturing what I'm trying to do with the series better than I could have explained it myself.
Also, good luck with the FR8 application.
On to Radar #4 😄
This is such a valuable weekly service — curating opportunities with actual context instead of just dumping links. The fact that someone applied to FR8 the same day they read about it is the best possible validation. (Also, “Claude Corps” is a name that makes me smile every time I read it.)
Anyway, thank you for doing this every week. I’ve already flagged Neo Scholars for a student I mentor.
Thank you 😄
Honestly, hearing that you've already shared Neo Scholars with a student you mentor is exactly the kind of thing I hope happens with these editions.
And yes, the FR8 comment meant a lot to me. When I started the series, I wasn't sure if anyone would actually act on something they found through it, so seeing that happen felt pretty special.
Thanks again for reading and for passing opportunities along to other people.
I will most definitely be checking out the Google challenge and ai agents course! Thanks for the great resources!
Thank you, Josh 😀
If you end up participating in either one, I'd love to hear how it goes. Good luck!
Great share Hemapriya! Was waiting for this lol.
Can't wait for next week!
Thank you, Francis 😄
See you next week.
